“Ondanks dat we zoveel mogelijk bands de gelegenheid willen geven zich via de CD en het festival te presenteren, moet er door het enorme aanbod elk jaar een keuze gemaakt worden. Een selectiecommissie, bestaande uit boekers, programmeurs en mensen uit de muziekindustrie, maakt elk jaar een selectie van artiesten. En aangezien deze juryleden ook maar mensen zijn, kan het zijn dat ze zeer talentvolle muzikanten over het hoofd zien! Daarom is er ook de populariteitspoll, deze geeft artiesten die niet geselecteerd zijn voor de CD en het festival toch nog de kans een plek op het festival te bemachtigen.”

Few words from the organizers;

Despite the fact that we would like to give the opportunity to as much bands/artist as possible to present themselves through a CD and festival, a choice must be made due to the enormous offer we receive each year. A selection commission, made out of bookers, programmers and people from the music industry, determine each year a selection of artists and since these jury members are also people, it can be that they overlook very talented artists/bands! For this reason there is also the popularity-poll that give artists who are not selected for the CD and the festival still the chance of getting hold of a spot on the festival nevertheless.
